Award of coveted ISO22301:2012 Certification to IDBI Bank Ltd.

Mumbai, February 9, 2017: IDBI Bank has been awarded with much coveted & globally recognized ISO22301:2012 Certification for its Business Continuity Management System (BCMS) of Risk Management Department of the Bank. ShriHiranmoyBiswas, Chief General Manager and Chief Risk Officer, IDBI Bank, received the Certificate on behalf of the Bank from Shri Ashok Balwani, Senior Vice President, M/s BSI Group India Pvt. Ltd. (BSI) at a function held in Mumbai on February 09, 2017. BSI is one of the authorized certification body of United Kingdom Accreditation Services for awarding such certificate globally.

The certification places emphasis on the Business Continuity of key Banking operations in the event of disaster scenarios. It further, inter-alia, demonstrates the Bank’s commitment towards enhancing customer satisfaction, quality of customer service delivery standards, organizational performance improvement and regulatory compliance.

The coverage of the certification includes Retail and Corporate Banking Operations, Trade Finance, Currency Chest, Retail Asset Center, Central Processing Unit, Regional Processing Unit, Central Clearing Unit, Treasury operations, Cash Management Services, Government Business Group, IDBI Asset Management Ltd., Data Center, Disaster Recovery and Business enabling functions like FIMD, Information Technology, Legal, Administration and Corporate Strategy & Communication delivered from IDBI Bank offices/ branches at Cuffe Parade, Bandra-Kurla Complex, Andheri, Chembur, Belapur (all in Mumbai) and DR site at Chennai. The entire certification process was coordinated and facilitated by Business Continuity Management Section under Risk Management Department of the Bank.

IDBI Bank is the first Public Sector Bank which has been awarded with ISO22301:2012 Certification for a Bank-wide coverage (including a subsidiary viz. IDBI Asset Management Company Ltd.) of BCMS and also, it is one amongst the few in the Indian banking industry to receive such certification.

The certification is the continued testimony of the Bank’s BCM procedure, robust and resilient, resulting in wider acceptability of Bank’s BCM among its customers and stake holders.
